As mentioned before, people tend to focus on the victim’s perspective when talking about sex trafficking. However, in my opinion, the opposite of the story, which is the traffickers deserve some attention because their vices are under-presented. Try it for yourself, type in “stories of sex trafficking” in the search bar, thousands of results appear in front of you, but what are the chances of you finding a story through a traffickers’ point of view? Low, very very low. I don’t agree with the things they do such as taking away the rights of the victims, but I think it is important to think about the reasoning behind their actions. The big question is that, why do traffickers do what they do? Is it something that is related to their past? Or their past connections with sex trafficking?
